Riding new trails, Sunderbruch today

Postby crrimson » Sat May 30, 2009 1:03 pm

This summer I decided I want to try and ride a new trail every weekend, so I'm going to down to QC and finally checking out Sunderbruch! I hear it's a lot of fun.

The only problem is I have nobody to go with! I'm planning on going to FDR soon for sure... anybody up to go to Dubuque?

What other must-ride trails are around for a days trip?

Didn't see this til today. When you ride SBP clime to the top of the hill on the paved path, take your first right. Take every right after that and you will hit every trail out there. Should end up with about 5 1/2 mile loop. Don't forget to hit Scott County. Right now there is about 6 1/2 mile loop complete. Shooting for 12 to 15 miles out there.

As for FDR you really need a guide. I usually hook up with Martha she can show the ropes there. If not you will never hit it all. Love to go with, try to give a little more notice

I've ridden the MO trails Castlewood, Chubb, and another fun one SIUE and I recommend all 3, especially Castlewood.

Thanks for the list though, makes me wish I had more free time during the week.

Council Bluffs (MO not IA) I remember being a very nice trail. Super buff as I remember it. That was five years ago or so.
