Sunday's trail work...

Postby Ken » Mon Aug 24, 2009 4:34 pm

Thanks to everyone who came out to help at Sunday's trail work session. We were able to get a few projects finished and others going strong, which will help the upcoming time trail race / take a kid mt. biking event October 3rd be even a little more fun.

Trail users - we invite you to ride the new, more flowy reroutes of the 4 way intersection just past the power line crossing. Eventually they will be complete and the old trail will be allowed to grow in on itself.

Hey, it was a good time. Nice to finally meet a few people that I hear ranting and raving on here...FARMBOY.

I've learned a few lessons that I'm willing to share with any one else considering working a trail day...
1) Wear JEANS! Shorts don't work. You're building trails, not hiking them.

2) Bring water. Camelbak, water bottle, anything. Its a hike back to the parking lot if you're thirsty.

Other than that, it was a great time. Thanks!

I mowed that area on Saturday and didn't see a single bee. You guys must be kinda "flowery".

Nice to meet you too Chuck. Thanks for your help. It's great to see more people jumping in for our cause.

I'm not such a bad guy. Plus, I can be a tough guy all I want went I'm just sitting here behind this screen.

I've decided to keep my mouth shut from now on. Ahhh, who am I kidding:
