Oh young grasshopper-son. Map has been refreshed. New map going on front page some time.

Using my wget-fu I have downloaded all gpx files. Now I must attend the lawn before I incite another Valentines Day!

Am I missing a downloadable PDF on the front page?

If not, I think it would be a great thing to have. Something obvious to new visitors on the home page.

On a similar note, would it be much trouble to move the LAMBA-info-mailbox to the front of the post under the kiosk roof instead of on the side were rain gets in when people leave it open? (boy are those tri-folds popular lately!)

The latest...updated the switchback trail. Are the trail colors correct? In particular, the blacks on the east side and the transition from green to blue on trail 4(?)(the YellowBrickRoad area) If these are cool, I'll add trail numbers in and prolly mark the two bridges...

Whoa. Those GPS and graphic design skills are blowing my mind.

In all seriousness, thanks for taking the time to update/maintain the maps. I personally appreciate it, and I think it makes the park much more accessible to riders unfamiliar with it.

These maps are great, it's crazy to think how much has changed in just the few months. Official trail head with a message board, maps of the trails and marked trails..... I can only image what it feels like for those of you that have been here from the start. keep up the great work everyone!

numbers too?

Postby Rob » Sat Sep 27, 2008 8:52 am

Color coded trails look great.

Can you use the numbers in the kiosk to tag them too? These are the map #'s I gave the city rescue departments, i.e. fire dept.

The numbers on the map Ken posted last year were preliminary.

Thanks for the work.

Unless the kiosk map has changed since Monday, the trail numbers on the map a few posts above should be the same.

I think trail numbers a very hard to remember and convay to out of towners. If the trails were named after the trail feature's it would make a lot more sense.

Just wondering why trail 15a is marked blue (as it should be) on the map, but the sing post marking out at Beverly is black?

Was that just a mistake? Does the black sticker need to be removed and replaced w/ a blue one?

15a signage

Postby Rob » Sat Nov 22, 2008 10:38 am

15a was initially labeled black to keep inexperienced riders out of trouble in that part of the system (skinny, rocks etc) and to indicate the kind of riding ahead. Now that there's a pallet crossing at the skinny, I'll put a blue sticker under the black one.

The Beverly trail map isnt on LAMBA's main page

Postby RollerCoaster » Wed Apr 15, 2009 4:30 pm

I was just looking for the trail map of Beverly and realized it isnt on the main home page. There's a map to Beverly park.

I want to plan out a path that rides every trail.

Can we put a link to the trail map below the link to Beverly park?

Is the new inner loop trail still considered trail number 5? Should it be green or blue on the maP?

Is there a trail number for the (ex)rollercoaster trail off the west prairie? I assume it should be black.

thanks Steve

Did this previous question ever get addressed? Maybe I missed it. If so, sorry. If not, I am asking again.
It would be nice for visitors to our website to be able to download a map if they so desired. And also, (maybe the carpenter in me) wouldn't the map box be better in the front of the kiosk? I believe b/c of it's current location, I had to point it out to numerous visitors that didn't see it when I mentioned maps b4 they headed out. Not to mention it doesn't have any overhang protection in case the lid is left open.

Maybe I just think too much about little things....
