Trail Closures @ Beverly

Postby Ken » Mon May 27, 2013 7:02 pm

Please be informed that due to downed trees and various trail maintenance projects, the dark-bold trails alignments on the map below are closed trails. Please do not attempt open the trails or make bypasses, LAMBA volunteers will work to get these projects going in the next week or two… Stay tuned here, the home page, and or LAMBA’s Facebook for information about trail work get togethers.

So.......... I gotta be honest, the trails are rideable and by definition fair; however, there are plenty of opportunities this weekend to help your local trails and groups that work hard for trails:

*Stay tuned as peops will be working at Beverly all weekend to help open / improve some of these closed trails.
*Help LCTA & LAMBA park bikes at the Farmers' Market - https://www.facebook.com/LinnAreaMTB
*Help ICORR with Sugar Bottom - viewtopic.php?f=12&t=2158

Your call.

The top of the FrontSide trails remain closed with some precarious downfall from the storm damage, and Trail 7 is under re-construction...

Thanks everyone for the feedback and help, our goal is to have most of Beverly up and running by mid-June.

Putting it out there to have a work day this weekend as the temps may let up a little, stay tuned for a specific date time; post up if you have a preference...

Can't help on Saturday...celebrating the kiddo's birthday at a water park. Sunday...that'll probably work, unless I get horribly sunburned at the water park.
When I was a kid, I rode bikes. Now I ride bikes and act like a kid. Some things never change.

Sunday it is then! I'll be out there in the AM, official work being from high noon til 3 or when folks are done.

Logs to saw, dirt to shape, mowing to complete, unlimited pruning..............

Is there a plan/anything that can be done to eliminate the giant mud bogs between YBR and the inner loop? This is the first year we have had an issue with mud there due to the rain this spring but it doesn't seem to want to dry up, at least it wasn't when I was out there last time. I think we have a pretty open weekend so should be able to stop out and lend a hand Sunday afternoon.

I put a few hours in today cleaning and opening up 17 (drop trail), since I love it. I can't make the work day tomorrow, I hope you guys have a good one.

I'll pack a grill and some food to cook up. Would my saw-on-a-stick be of any use?

Hi All,

I was out sunday afternoon and it was very obvious a significant amount of work has gone into the trails lately.

Thanks much!

PS - The bottom section of Project Sustainable Grades and Man Mades has some sic lines.
