Trail Closure - 4C

Postby Ken » Mon Apr 19, 2010 10:27 pm

Trail 4C between the yellow brick road and old farm road will be temporarily closed due to unauthorized use and potential danger associated with said use. Please respect this closure for your own safety and the good of the trails, we will post notification when the situation is resolved, hopefully soon.

Will this section be visably closed so those that don't read here will know it's closed as well?

Trail has been clearly marked. Whatever you do don't go out that and mess with the vehicle that is stranded precariously close to falling down the hill. Don't mess with any of the $hit in the back of the vehicle or play with the keys in the ignition. Don't undo the chain and come along holding the vehicle up.

I'll never understand people who think the proper place for a tablesaw is in the back of their truck :snooty:

I'm hoping the owner of this vehicle is somehow punished for his little excursion? Fine? Citation? Jail time?

The truck is off the trail but the damage to the trail will need to be repaired before reopening the trail. I'm sure the rain today will delay that repair.

Nic is going to have some volunteer labor out at Beverly Park. Do you guys have an suggestions of things he can work on?

1) Pulling Garlic Mustard
2) Removing barbed wire fencing.
3) ?

I would like to see Nick and perhaps his friends determine some options for keeping off road vehicles out of the park in the future, and assist with implementing these measures.
