LAMBA @ Beverly Park, Sunday 4/11 12:30-3:30

Postby Ken » Thu Apr 08, 2010 9:37 pm

Wanna ride? Bring your bike.
Wanna work? Bring gloves.
Wanna hang out? Bring a chair.
All three? Sweet.

We'll be out there from 12:30-3:30 Sunday, April 11th.

Barring significant rain the trails will be good to ride, and there's always plenty to do if you want to keep busy...

Sorry Ken, I'm way out of town this weekend, otherwise I'd be there. Unless I were to wimp out, drink the night before, and sleep in. Sorry man, but I got my priorities. Ha ha.

Did it again Friday evening Chuckles, perhaps I have a problem :obscene-drinkingdrunk:

Anywho, thanks much to all who were able to make it out today, we were able to cross a few things off our list; however, the list is long and any time anyone feels like rockin' a lil work in the dirt they will mos def be more than welcome.

Trails are in great shape, enjoy...

I caught the tail end of the trail work today,by that I mean I got there right as everyone was putting things away. Since I am a social dork I didn't say much. Guy with the black shirt and grey bike. You guys did some good work, I am really hoping to make it out to some of the Wednesday rides, unfortunately this week won't happen but maybe soon. Thanks again.

We're all dorks Mike. I wasn't there at the tail end, so you didn't see me. But next time say hi. Join us for a ride sometime too.

Sorry Mike, I try to at least say Hi to everyone but we were already over 4 hours at the park working and I was getting hungry. Next time, if you dont join us for some work we will join you for a ride!

I didnt take pictures of the work we did, grrr. I will get some and update.

1) inner loop log over: Lead-up had some widening done and plants removed, users already defined the route. smaller log over before the big one got shored up with the right sized logs and a fresh coat of dirt to lock it in place. The larger one had the landing moved ~8" downhill so you are centered when you come over the top. Rides better, looks nice. slightly steeper too, for your enjoyment.

2) dead-fall removed for the next reroute, well, we did as much as we could before the gas ran out. Going to be an awesome, much needed, reroute. Will need a few extra hands that day so be looking out for a post on here asking for help.

3) corduroy, for that one weird uncle, not the trails. 16' bridge dropped over the sticks/mud at the bottom of the rock garden. looks sketchy but fun! Sorry Adam, you missed the fun.

also removed a few stumps in the bike path, raked out mud holes, cleared sticks, dropped a leaning tree and took some measurements for the project Tuesday. We stayed busy.

Now where is the Sylvan Island update!?
Are you dumb and depressed, ride a mountain bike!
