I'm looking for guidance on how I should be training with about 8 weeks left until the first race. I am new to the series and have been wanting to participate for a while, and this year I want to knock it off my bucket list and do it!!!!! The main things I want to know are: mileage of the race (I'm sure it's different for each one but a ballpark figure would work just fine for me), what to expect race day, do I need to sign up or pay a membership fee, activities at each event since I want to bring my girlfriend and 18 month old daughter.
Any info is greatly appreciatied, and I hope to meet and talk with a lot of you this year. I'm always a sponge around wise people
