Leaves B Gone

Postby iLuvTechnical » Fri Nov 20, 2009 11:14 pm

I hope to have the trails cleared sometime tomorrow morning in case anyone was wanting to get out to Thomas.
Oh, and I added a plank at the bottom of the 1st roller to make the transition a little smoother

Is the park 'officially' open now? Would like to make it out there again this year, was there earlier this year, but think I missed a lot of stuff.

The barricades are still up at the park entrance, so we're (our family) taking that as it is still closed.

Trails are all clear :D
Weird thing about the plank I added last week...I must have tapped into some sort of seepage spot right where I installed one side into the hill b/c there is a constant wet spot that runs across the board.
I don't want to re-route it, so I need a longer board.
Does anyone have any extra 4 foot 2X12 laying around or scrap they don't need? Actually, I could build something with other options, but I don't really want to spend my own money to go buy wood.

To answer your 'Trails Open' question; I don't know officially, but I will say what I said b4...
Walk, run, bike the trails if you would like. Everyone is still using the tail. As a matter of fact, the Trail Closed and barricade at both ends of the trail (Boyson and Hanna Park) and the bridge crossing by the football field are GONE  I truly believe the 'park closed' sign at the entrance is there b/c of the renovations they are doing to repair and update the park. They don't seem to mind or think twice about the trails being used by everyone. I believe the barricade at the park entrance is only b/c of safety issues pertaining to the playground and some dirt moving they are doing b/c of the flood.

Here's to hoping the city/landowner jump on board with the idea of adding more trails. Lots of potential

Are the trails ok to ride on, condition wise?

Not yet. Real muddy on the side facing hole 20, caking to the bottom of your shoes bad.

I didn't even know you took that pic. That camera did a pretty good job for what it is. Thank you for helping yesterday. I had a lot of fun. Wish we could have ridden
I know you snapped some other still shots of the park in other areas; is there anyway you could email those to me? Especially Scenic Ridge. Maybe I could use them as reference if I can meet the land owner face to face.
