The Summit View section got started today.

Less technical section, more flow...

Highest point of trails at Thomas. View from the summit. Straight ahead where it looks white/bright is the crushed limestone multipurpose trail way down below...

Glad you enjoyed it!
No, it isn't "officially" open, but it is rideable b/c I raked the debris at the beginning and the end out of the way to test ride it the other night. There are only two reasons I didn't complete the connections to the existing trail...
1. I still have a small section I want to bench-cut a bit (although it is still ribeable, but not as nice as it could be)
2. I ran out of energy and daylight.

If you know where it is, feel free to ride it  Please stay on the trail. If you get toward the end and can't see the raked line very well b/c of leaves, please don't blaze your own path; get off and walk.

The Summit View section is NOW connected to the pre-existing section to add more mileage :D
It is a very sandy area and a good rain will help firm up the tread. Once it packs down, it should be sweet!
Get out and enjoy some sweet flow

P.S. Lots of leaves on the old trail make it difficult to see the ground. I hope to get out there sometime this week or next wkend to clear it off for you all. If anyone would feel like beating me to it, please feel free

I snuck out of work and got in my first lap on Monday, then relapped it Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday :eusa-shifty:. DAMN cant believe I have not rode there ever. Awesome fun, like a roller coaster ride powered by a fat man.

Thanks for all the work. I am in for a trail day there. If I can get out some more I will bring a rake.

Rode this the other night on the cross bike, and is for sure a nice addition to the trail system, will get out there on the MTB next week and see how it all works out, was kinda bummed you took out the one log over though.

Rev.Jimmy, I think you have ridden that trail almost as much as me. I see you there a lot

whistlepig, I'm not sure what "like a roller coaster ride powered by a fat man" means, but I am glad you are having fun out there. However, don't let it get you in trouble by "sneaking" out of work :shhh:

I know, I miss it too! But, a sacrifice had to be made for the bigger picture.
