Heck yeahs, where'd ya pull that one from? The red-ish mineral soil is familiar but could be just about any iron rich location I suppose.
Nothing worthwile is ever easy, eh... to quote our IMBA friend, "There is no machine that magically poops out trail. If there was, trust me, we'd know about it." Also, you typically work backwards with an excavator, so the trail comes out the other end; I digress
What really would work best for our group would look something like an experienced / willing operator for the machine and a small crew of experienced Earth shapers to manipulate the upheaved ground into a beaut of a riding surface leading to a most excellent riding adventure experience. The latter portion of this equation could include the use of a mini doser (pictured) like the Dingo, a powered wheel barrow, etc.
Why all the nitty gritty details? Because an excavator has been booked for late spring / early summer... there are some areas at Beverly that could benefit from some more extensive soil manipulation that is just too difficult / time consuming to do by hand. Could even be used for some of the new stuff at Squaw Creek, given the need and that permissions are in place.
So if you got the goods and time to lend a hand, mark your calendars for Memorial Day Weekend and June 7-12.................
