Ride Quad Cities tomorrow?

Ride Quad Cities tomorrow?

Postby iLuvTechnical » Thu Nov 27, 2008 4:05 pm

Anyone want to carpool w/ me to the Quad Cities tomorrow?
The word is: at the very least, Sylvan Island is dry whether it is morning or afternoon (no freeze/thaw) b/c of of the ground composition.

Also, a chance that Sunderbruch will be dry.

Anyone want to go :)

I was thinking of going to Sunderbruch Friday or Saturday, but didn't know if it is dry. What time were you thinking of leaving? Scott County Park is also a possibility. I've never been to Sylvan Island.

I wanted to leave early...like 7 or 8 and ride Sunderbruch first while it was still frozen (just in case) and then go have lunch and then hit Sylvan.

I forgot that I have to be back by 2:00 tomorrow, so I won't be able to carpool unless someone wants to hitch a ride back with me around noon. My tires won't do well if the trails are slimy in the afternoon anyway. I'm planning to leave at 7:30 and get to Sunderbruch around 9:00. If Sunderbruch is getting too slippery before noon or I get too tired to continue riding, I may stop at the bike shop in Bettendorf before heading back.
