Does anyone know when Sugar Bottom is closed for hunting season?
There is always someplace in the world dry enough for kick'n up a little dirt.

Sugar will be closed the entire month of December. It will reopen on January 1 weather permitting.

Mean people suck.

Like Rage said, closed in for whole month of Dec for Shotgun Deer season. Otherwise Sugar is open to hunting year round, so there could be people hunting squirrels and such Sept - Jan. Deer Archery season begins Oct 1 and goes until Dec. Early Muzzleloader is Oct 13 - 21. So we share the area with hunters Oct-Nov so best not to wear tan jerseys with white stripes.

I seem to remember a couple years ago someone said it was closed until 7PM each day. Not sure if it was or still is true. It would make sense since shotgun hunting at night doesn't seem very easy or too safe for other hunters.
