Trail Work Saturday July 14

Meet at the beach trailhead for trail maintenance at Sugar Bottom this Saturday. For those planning to enter the Xterra Trail Run and Triathlon July 28-29, the promoter is offering a 50% discount on registration for those helping with trail work. We will meet at the trailhead in the beach parking lot at 9AM. The trails are generally in good condition but we will be doing trimming and mowing in several different areas. If you have your own string trimmer that you would like to use, that could be helpful. Though the poison ivy doesn’t seem too bad this year, long pants and long sleeves are best. We’ll work until 11 or 12. Hope to see you there.

Nine people came out to help with the trail maintenance. A lot of mowing and trimming got done. We did 203, the 101 ravines before cyclocross hill, and 105 and maybe some other areas. Also a new bridge got installed on a rough dip in the 301 trail before the 302 entrance. This makes it smooth and fast.

Bridge on 301=sweet. Not only the bridge, but dirt work into/out of it. A+
