LAMBA ski party

Postby Jaxon » Sat Jan 10, 2009 12:40 pm

So is anyone planning to go to the LAMBA ski party on Jan 18th at Morgan Creek Park who doesn't plan to ski? I am not a skier and don't plan to participate. If some people were planning to show up and willing to do a group hike or snowshoe around the park, I might show up. I have a spare set of snowshoes if anyone needs to borrow a pair.

I noticed the date and time of the event aren't on the LAMBA home page.

Might be worth a try. Never snowshoed b4. I don't really dig skiing or snowboarding. Tried biking to Bev today, but I had issues.

I'm in. I just started cross country skiing this winter, so this might be fun for me. I didn't even know LAMBA was staging a cross country skiing event. Cool. LAMBA is a good organization. Thanks to all of you that work hard to provide us with good recreational facilities and opportunities.

Is anybody else planning on being there? I'm not familiar with Morgan Creek, and wouldn't mind skiing with somebody or a group that knows the trails.

There will be a bunch of folks out there xc skiing and snowshoeing. The trail system at Morgan Creek is pretty simple with only a few loops, if you show up someone will hang with you. There will also be food / drink / bs around the fire. I'd suggest you bring yer own liquid refreshment(s). Can't believe I'm about to type this... but the more wood you bring, the longer the fire will last.

See you there...

Somebody ought to update the LAMBA home page with a notice about the event. Maybe we should also send out a message to the mailing list.

It's a county park with groomed ski trails. There may be gravel or grass trails where cyclocross guys train.

Usual site near campground entrance. Tell anyone who you think would like to come. The more the merrier. :) Di and Rob
