Facilities Draw Attention!

Postby iLuvTechnical » Wed Jun 20, 2012 3:34 pm

The mountain bike community has been on a mission to educate the voters and decision makers to recognize that trail systems are/should be viewed as "Facilities". Facilities sometimes create tourism, encourage spending, make communities more attractive to business, etc...

Well, it seems that the Mayor and other city official of the Quad Cities have seen the light b/c they attended the ribbon cutting ceremony to open the new and improved Jubilee loop at Sunderbruch Park in Davenport, IA. They showcased the new observation deck and the wooden burns which were built using Funding money. They mayor even recognized that the efforts put into the facilities make their community a great place to live, work and play.

"Build it and they will come!"
